BuzzCuts Pod cast Interview and new song preview
Mia & I recently sat down with the folks from the BuzzCutz this week for an informal chat/interview about life, music, etc ;) Check out the mp3 file attached to this entry to listen to the podcast episode which also features a sneak peek of "Cemetery Gates", one of the songs from the upcoming CD.
We're excited, and even though the song isn't completely finished yet, you get a good idea of how things are coming along ... PLUS this is the world premier of Brandon Hensley's drumming on this single. So you gotta listen... and leave some love in the comments for Brando..

SongPlanet Records The Best of INDIE: ROCK 2008, Volume I
Fading has been chosen to appear on SongPlanet Records upcoming compilation CD "The Best of INDIE: ROCK 2008, Volume I"
The release is a compilation of the best songs in the ROCK Genre from the songplanet.com website.
The CD will be sold at several thousand US and international retail outlets.
More info will be made available as soon as it breaks.

Just received this in the band's email...

Songs in horror movie
In local news Gretchen's music has recently been included in the low budget horror “MANSON KILMORE: THE NIGHT CALLER OF COAL MINERS HOLLER" (Loose Screw Ent., LLC.) by Joseph Thomas of Applachian, VA
Breathe was is played in full during a montage early in the movie. Fading and Passion are heard during the credits, as well as in a few spots during the movie.
The Night Caller is in 2 parts, 2 separate movies and DVD's. The first part is set for release today and part for next week.

Working on new material
The band's priority right now has been working on new material. Hopefully wrapping that up soon and will begin looking at booking again towards the end of the month.

Senheiser Endorsement
Gretchen is proud to be offcialy endorsed by and using Senheiser mics. It's been a mainstay on Dave's guitar sound for a while now, and more recently the band had begun looking for a vocal mic that could pull of the nuances of Mia's vocal style.
